Paula Patton is an actress and producer well-known for her starring roles in the action spy movie Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol as well as the dramatic film Precious. Her childhood was spent in Los Angeles where she came from a middle class family. Her mom was obsessed with films and instilled an interest in films in her daughter. Paula loved participating in school co-curricular activities and she was a huge fan of drama. Her favorite part was performing in stage productions along with her peers. Hamilton Magnet Arts High School produced a number of plays. The actor decided that acting was the career she wanted to pursue. As a student in a summer camp in the University of Southern California, she had a blast there. The program offered her a three-month contract to create documentaries for PBS. When she finished the assignment in three months the first task was in the field of production of television documentaries. Following the completion of her project and completing her documentary, she began producing films. She still had a dream to become an actress, although she was content in her present job. She launched her acting career with a small role in Will Smith's romantic comedy Hitch. Since then, she's appeared in a number of popular films and television shows.
