Drake and Bad Bunny worked together to record MIA (2018), while Madonna and Maluma joined forces on Medellin, 2019 In the year 2020, some Reggaeton artists were complaining about the direction of the genre towards mainstream. However, a younger generation Rauw Alejandro wanted to maintain the development. The genre often incorporated elements of various genres, as well as electronic dance.
